Unique celtic flavour

Guided in its formulation by the globally acclaimed, prize winning Master Distiller,Gerard Evans, we have realised our ambition. Our gin had to be inherently Welsh and achieve the highest benchmark of excellence. Today, we feel all the boxes have been ticked and we can finally offer a unique drinking experience. We have used water from our own 200 year old well, sited on Bedo farm. In addition, we have sourced unique botanicals from the fertile soils of Mona {as well as globally,}giving Afallon Mon Gin its nuanced Celtic flavour. Taken neat it rewards you with a fresh citrus burst of lemon and orange peel. It is crafted by the application of care, skill and a dedication to quality and, perhaps, that touch of Celtic magic.

Blas celtaidd unigryw

O dan arweiniad Gerard Evans sydd wedi ennill gwobrau yn rhyngwladol am ei feistroldeb o fewn y maes crefftio gwirodydd, rydym wedi gwireddu ein huchelgais. Roedd yn rhaid i’r jin fod yn Gymreig yn ei hanfod, yn ogystal â bodloni gofynion ein cwsmeriaid. Teimlwn fod hyn bellach wedi ei wireddu, a gallwn gynnig profiad yfed unigryw. Rydym wedi defnyddio dŵr lleol a chynnyrch botanegol o dir ffrwythlon Môn a thros y byd sy’n rhoi blas Celtaidd cynnil i jin Afallon Môn. Wrth ei yfed ar ben ei hun, cewch eich taro â ffrwydrad sitrws ffres o groen oren a lemwn. Proses sy’n cynnwys sgiliau gofalus, ymroddiad at ansawdd, ag ella…. mymryn o ddewiniaeth!

The Story of Afallon

Afallon,{Avalon} the mystic isle of noble knights that lies beyond the spatial andtemporal world of mortals resonates well with its sister island of Mona {Anglesey}.Each shares an enchantment that is intrinsically Celtic. From a past where magic and the numinous have always informed reality, Mona’s uniqueness lives on through its land and its people. The island’s guardian, the goddess Branwen, whose spirit is said to still inhabit the waters of the river Alaw, was laid to rest in a marked grave not far from our distillery.

Hanes Afallon

Mae Afallon, ynys ddirgel y marchogion bonheddig sy’n bodoli’r tu hwnt i fyd amserol a gofodol meidrolion, yn atseinio’n hyfryd â Môn, ei chwaer ynys. Ceir ar y ddwy ynys hudoliaeth sy’n gynhenid Geltaidd. O fyd y gorffennol, pan fyddai dewiniaeth a grymoedd dwyfol bob amser yn hysbysu’r byd real, bydd nodweddion unigryw Môn yn byw’n dragywydd drwy ei thir a thrwy ei phobl. Cafodd gwarchodwraig yr ynys, y dduwies Branwen, ei rhoi i orffwys mewn bedd nid nepell o’n distyllfa - yn ôl y sôn, mae ei hysbryd yn troedio dyfroedd yr afon Alaw hyd heddiw.

The Distillery

Afallon Mon distillery is based on the Isle of Anglesey, North Wales. Situated in beautiful rural surroundings it is housed in a refurbished eighteenth century Welsh barn on Bedo Farm. Lying near the pretty village of Llanfachraeth, the farm has been worked by the Owen family for generations and is now home to a forward-thinking business. Arwyn Owen, his brother Gethin together with their friend Emyr Gibson and assisted by KeithWilliams, have been planning such an enterprise for the last five years. Their enthusiasm and attention to detail are reflected in the quality of their products.

Y Ddistyllfa

Mae distyllfa Afallon Môn wedi’i lleoli ar Ynys Môn yng Ngogledd Cymru. Gyda thiroedd gwledig bendigedig o’i chwmpas, mae’r ddistyllfa wedi’i lleoli mewn ysgubor Gymreig 200 mlwydd oed wedi’i hadnewyddu ar Fferm Bedo. Dafliad carreg o bentref prydferth Llanfachraeth, bu’r fferm o dan ofal y teulu Owen ers cenedlaethau ac mae bellach yn gartref i fusnes blaengar. Mae Arwyn Owen, ei frawd Gethin a’u ffrind Emyr Gibson wedi bod yn cynllunio’r fenter hon dros y pum mlynedd ddiwethaf. Adlewyrchir eu brwdfrydedd a’u llygad am fanylder yn ansawdd eu cynnyrch.
